Danetre Medical Practice invited by The Guardian to make a video to promote other surgeries to become involved in research

This was a result of coming second in a prestigious national award for the work it has done to maximise clinical research activity for the patients of their Practice.

Currently approximately a third of primary care organisation are regularly involved in delivering research and it is hoped the video and webinar will be a great resource in helping us to grow that number.

“Research is a core part of the service we provide at Danetre Medical Practice. We believe it is every patients’ fundamental right to be given the opportunity to get involved in research about health issues which are important to them and impact on their daily lives. General Practice is at the coal-face of providing medical care for all patients and is as such the best place to carry out research which will hopefully improve care and outcomes for all. It is therefore important to recognise primary care as major contributor to the research agenda and we at Danetre Medical Practice feel very proud that our work in this area has been recognised in this commendation” DMP
